Floppy Fun

Over the past few days, I've destroyed a few hundred floppy disks.

What is this? It's ~331.2MB, give or take (~230 x 1.44MB).

I made some Starship Enterprises, but I got bored after making 5 of them. I've never even seen a Star Trek episode before.

This is a handy floppy box. A good pen holder. If you would like a floppy box, or know someone who would, I'd be happy to make one for you/them.

My attempt at the floppy bag didn't work (lined with duct tape) mostly because I used plastic zip ties, instead of metal fastener rings, I reckon (so much drilling!).

Wow. Wow, at the Enterprise(s), and that you've never seen a Star Trek episode before. Do you mean Star Trek Classic, or no Star Trek of any kind episode, ever?!

What planet are you from?!

i guess floppy disks are pretty much obsolete, eh? that kind of makes me feel old. i mean there's like a whole new generation of teens out there that are like, "Floppy what?"

jill: yeah, i guess they prettty much died off when manufacturers stopped putting floppy drives in the computers.....that and moore's law is standing true since usb thumb key drive thingies are so cheap! soooo cheap!! i remember fantasizing about having a 32mb usb drive in highschool (cost more than $60 if i remember correctly) because my floppies would always fail on me...

johnson - keywords are "seems like" i have too much time..... i'm still working on the time management thing (aka. sleeping earlier)

beko - xylitol power!

ky4evr - i give a mighty huzzah for you! so exciting 8^D

tim - i'm such an internet hermit these days.....not reading emails right away and putting them off to read days later....hardly on msn/windows live.... facebook is just too much effort...
maybe when i get back to school things will get back to normal
